L’année 2009 s’achève avec des changements importants au golf de l’Iroise.

Emmanuel COULON en devient le nouveau gérant et propriétaire au 1er janvier 2010 et sera basé directement sur le site. La situation de notre golf nécessitait une gestion plus proche de vous.

Nous sommes à votre disposition au Club House pour vous donner davantage d’informations sur cette nouvelle organisation, les nouveaux tarifs au 1er janvier.

Nous partagerons aussi avec vous nos ambitions pour le golf.

Tous les membres de l’Iroise auront libre accès aux Golf des Abers et de Pen Ar Bed pour les années 2010 et 2011 et ce à partir du 1er janvier 2010.

Nous vous invitons le samedi 30 janvier à 18h00 pour un « pot d’arrivée » afin de se rencontrer.

Dear Members.

I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.

As you may be aware I acquired the SARL, Golf de Brest Iroise, on July 1st 2009 and over the past few months have assessed the business. The SARL has been losing money on an annual basis for nearly 10 years. In addition in recent years there has been no active on site Management by the former owners.

 I want to see the Golf Course achieve its potential and to provide benefit to the Membership & Community alike. In recent months I spoke with the CCI of Brest and some potential Managers. As you may be aware I have now agreed to the transfer of the business to Yannick & Emmanuel Coulon. The Coulon family are well respected in the Golf Industry and their knowledge of both the Golf business and the local culture means they are best placed to take the Golf course forward. This is a very positive situation for the Membership. The SCI Club de Bretagne and the CCI of Brest are both in agreement that in the current climate the Coulons represent the best solution for the Golf course and its Members. The CCI and the SCI will continue to monitor the situation with the Coulons to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to bring the Golf course forward. One of the Coulon’s initial plans is for the Clubhouse to re-open in 2010 something which has not occurred in the past couple of years.
